Can I add additional cards to my bank account?
Definitely! That is a great way to maximize support of your cause!
There are no limits to the number of cards linked to a checking account. Many families have cards for each parent and cards for children as well. A teenage driver - makes for a great gas and/or lunch card.
After registering your first card, call customer service to add additional cards.

Can family and friends use Giving Guru to donate to my cause?
Yes! Another great way to maximize support - particularly if they frequent our participating merchants! We work with our schools and groups to provide data so that donations can be attributed to a specific member. Perfect for teams, booster clubs, and others that need to track participation.
My children go to different schools. Can I split my donations between two groups?
Your donations can not be 'spit' between multiple groups. Each card is effectively assigned to a group and individual during enrollment. The easiest way to support multiple groups or individuals within a group is to add another card to your account. Additional cards and enrollment are available with no extra cost to you.
How do I track my donations?
Your account information, including a complete list of transactions and more can be accessed through the Giving Guru Member Portal.
I've lost my card! What do I do?
First, login to your Giving Guru account, select "Lost Card", click the card number to deactivate.
Then, get a new card from your school/group leader or email us at info@giving.guru
Can I change my school/group?
Absolutely! This can easily be done by calling customer service: 877-403-2222. Please keep in mind that the Referred By information (typically a person's name) cannot be changed after enrollment. If the person changes groups (a child changing schools or a person switching support to a different non-profit), the Group Code can change but the Referred By information cannot change. Establishing a new card with a different Group Code and Referred By information is available.
What are the purchasing limits?
Giving Guru is designed for your everyday purchases. As an added safety feature, the CommuniFunding cards have the following limits:
7 transactions/day 15/week $100.00/transaction $150.00/day $500.00/per week
Limits are per account. Multiple cards per bank account are allowed.
Cashback is not allowed with the CommuniFunding Card.
Why was my card not accepted?
If over your card's limits, you will typically receive a terminal response of "Insufficient Funds". Spending limits are per purchase, daily, and weekly. Simply use the Giving Guru card after the limits reset - typically Tuesday AM.
A message of "unable to process" or "Invalid card" typically means the merchant's terminal does not require a PIN with debit purchases or does not accept PIN-debit. If you encounter this at your favorite merchant, let us know and we will gladly reach out to them. It is usually a simple fix!
BE SURE TO SELECT DEBIT WHEN PROMPTED!
Email us at info@giving.guru and a member of our team will contact you or your group's representative.
